Ok, so the calendar said it was spring right… well, wintery temperatures did not keep this fearless wedding party from adventuring around some of the shadiest alleyways in the quest for great locations. Ben and Katie, wow what a beautiful wedding. I have never seen such an enormous and beautiful church. I think we even had the nuns confused when I asked that we turn off all the lights! By the end of the photos one of them came up to me and said she has never seen anyone take wedding photos that way. I took it as a compliment. After the wedding we headed over to Cedar Creek Country Club. Now since Ben is an avid hunter he had to work it into the wedding somehow… Since blaze orange was immediately vetoed they came up with “A Kiss for a Buck” and no they were not charging for kisses.

The wedding made me realize how small the world really is. Hasitha and Sambit are from Sri Lanka and India. Currently they were living in Calgary and the other in Las Angeles and decided to have their Reception with family in Rochester. When I first meet with these guys before their wedding reception I realized that Hasitha was a friend of mine from college and we have a bunch of classes together! The Kahler Grand Ballroom is a beautiful setting for any wedding or reception.Read More »
Fall, my favorite time of year for beautiful engagement photos! Heather and Mike greeted me along with their giant Great Dane to start our evening off. On our way back from cruising the country side we saw the most perfect light on the near by golf course.Meadow Lakes Golf Club was nice enough to let of hijack a cart and cruise around on their crisp greens. All and all we ended up some some great shots and I am looking forward to seeing you guys soon on your wedding day.Read More »

Nick surprises Laura with a special real life version of the wedding singer song Grow old With You. Live at Willow Creek Golf Course Wedding and Event Center.
Nick and Laura! What a wedding. I don’t think we could have had a more beautiful day. The reception at Willow Creek in Rochester was a blast from the guys outside playing Bean Bags, to Nick taking the stage with the band (more on that to come). Wedding tip for everyone else… Hire a Band (Nick and Laura feel free to leave the name of the band in the comments they were great)! They are awesome, and the guests love watching them. Great way to keep your guests at your event. Well that and the Photobooth. For more on Nick and Laura’s wedding head over to my facebook page. Read More »
Ok so I am wayyyy behind on posting my recent weddings! Rebecca & Anthony’s wedding was a lot of fun and oh we got to go to my favorite Plummer House to take some fun wedding photos. Have I mentioned I LOVE the Plummer House? After that we headed over to their reception at La Quinta Inn in Rochester Minnesota. I think my favorite part was the dramatic lit entrance to the tune of Star Wars (My favorite movie… I know I’m a nerd). Oh Rebecca, we are even on the Steak now 😉

This last weekend two of my good friends got married in the Wisconsin Dells at Christmas Mountain Resort. My wife and I made a mini vacation out of it since going to India with my six month pregnant wife was probably out of the question. What kind of photographer friend would I be if I didn’t bring my camera? So, I talked Dan and Kristi into running off for a mini photo shoot and we ended up with some beautiful photos. It’s misty out there trust me…. thats why we needed the umbrella. Well, that and I have always wanted to do a shoot with an umbrella. Not sure why I like them so much, but anyways. We had such a great weekend and had a total blast. And ok, I totally stink at mini golf. Congrats guys, lets grill out soon! Looking for a Photographer? Melissa and Steve know how to put on one heck of a good party! I had a total blast with these guys. Lucky for us the Woodbury Central Park is an indoor park. Only in Minnesota does one have to plan for snow on a wedding day in May! Snow and sleet didn’t stop these guys from having a beautiful wedding. Check out the photobooth page for some of the crazy shots from the evening. Best wishes guys!
